"Als Kind ist jeder ein Künstler.
Die Schwierigkeit liegt darin,
als Erwachsener einer zu bleiben."
(Pablo Picasso)
The harvest is complete as of today – the last grapes have been brought in, hands are tired, backs are sore, but spirits are high.
Between loess soil, leaves and a lot of hard work, another vintage has been gathered.
And now?
Now it’s time for the Leshahn – not a tool or machine, but a centuries-old tradition:
A celebratory feast marking the end of harvest.
A moment to pause, eat well, raise a glass, and thank everyone who helped bring the grapes home.
Passed down through generations, the Leshahn reminds us: wine is about people as much as it is about nature.
The vineyard is quiet now – but in the cellar, the next journey begins.
There, the wine will take shape – the reason we do all this.
Here’s to the end of harvest – and the start of a promising new vintage.
Cheers to the wine, the people – and the Leshahn! 🍷
